Even if you’re the top team in the country, you need someone to come in and push you. Sometimes, that push comes in the form of a European transfer that can hit 400-foot bombs on cue, aka Cubs superstar third baseman Kris Bryant.
Red Bull, Bryant and Mesa Community College head baseball coach Tony Cirelli teamed up to prank the Mesa baseball team, bringing in Kris as European transfer Roy Nabryt, a “donkey” with “crazy power.”
And Cirelli was blunt about Nabryt, he’s going to take some playing time away from people, which never goes over well, even if you are the no. 1 team at mid-season.
To their credit, the guys on Mesa put it together pretty quickly. Which they should have, because it doesn’t look like Bryant went out there with any sort of disguise. What’s crazy though is that Bryant isn’t too much older than the 18-20-year-olds playing in junior college.
Yet, he’s dominating Major League pitching.
