The next phase of the NCAA Tournament begins twith Day 1 of the Sweet Sixteen, in which half of the sixteen teams remaining in the tournament pool will compete for a spot in the Elite Eight. This year’s Sweet Sixteen is very deep from top to bottom and while all four No. 1 seeds remain, just which ones will advance and which ones will fall, if any, remains anybody’s guess.
And the questions present themselves way too easily. Can Indiana ride the momentum of beating Kentucky to a spot in the Final Four? Is Virginia for real as a No. 1 seed?
More importantly, is Oregon the real deal this year? Or can Duke take advantage of getting hot at the right time and defend its national championship?
