The Stanford Cardinal fired eight-year head coach Johnny Dawkins just a few weeks ago and he has already found a new home in UCF. The Cardinal wasted little time bringing in their next head coach as they just hired UAB’s Jerod Haase.
CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein reported the news via Twitter Friday that Haase will be named the new head coach at Stanford. This comes after he spent four years with the Blazers.
A source with direct knowledge told @CBSSports that UAB's Jerod Haase is "done" to Stanford. Initial development was first reported by ESPN.

Jerod Haase compiled an 80-53 record with the Blazers and led them to a Conference USA tournament championship in 2015, which led to an upset of Iowa State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, and a Conference USA regular season championship this year and an appearance in the NIT.
He should be able to come in and help the Cardinal almost immediately. The team went 15-15 this year after winning the NIT in 2015.
