Kevin Ferguson Jr., son of Kimbo Slice, scores KO in MMA debut

Many of you have probably never heard of Kevin Ferguson Jr., a welterweight who currently fights for the promotion Warrior Nation Xtreme Fighters Alliance.

Well, it just so happens that Ferguson is the son of legendary Miami street fighter and current Bellator signee Kevin Ferguson, known to fans as Kimbo Slice, and recently won his MMA debut when he knocked out opponent Tom “Dozer” Brink in a mere 83 seconds.

Check out video of the fight below.

Though this was his professional MMA debut, it’s amazing how Ferguson, whose nickname is “Baby Slice,” took complete control of the match. He didn’t try to do anything fancy, nor did he push the action. Rather, he let Brink come to him and make mistakes so that he could land effective strikes to the head. That approach turned out to be effective as Brink mounted almost no offense and was down for the count in such a short amount of time.

Granted, Kevin Ferguson Jr. still has a long way to go before he’s in the same league as his father in terms of notoriety in the MMA world, but he certainly started his debut on the right foot.
