Sean Weatherspoon is preparing to move back to Atlanta after being resigned to the Falcons this offseason. The 28-year-old linebacker was originally drafted to Atlanta and will make his return for the 2016-17 season.
While most of us average people hate moving, Weatherspoon found a reason to enjoy it. He recently tweeted that he found an uncashed game check while moving his stuff out of his current place in Arizona.
At a salary of about $2.4 million with his former team, the Arizona Cardinals, this game check would be worth around $138,000. Much more than the loose change most of us find around the house during spring cleaning, I’d guess.
Wetherspoon has played 47 NFL games and recorded eight sacks since being drafted in 2010. He was a first round pick from Missouri, where he played for the Tigers for four years.
Some guys have all the luck, I guess.
