Derrick Henry has met with Seattle Seahawks, others

Former Alabama star running back and 2015 Heisman Trophy winner Derrick Henry is one of the hottest names in this year’s NFL Draft class and said during a recent appearance on NFL Network that he has met with three teams: the Carolina Panthers, Dallas Cowboys and Seattle Seahawks.

All three of those teams could be a fine destination for the 6-foot-3, 242 pound bruiser, but Seattle stands out in particular.

Keep in mind that for the past several years, the Seahawks relied heavily on a power-running game that was led by bulldozing running back Marshawn Lynch, who retired after the Super Bowl with the following tweet:

Granted, Seattle is currently set to roll with second-year man Thomas Rawls and veteran Christine Michael at running back next year, but Henry could prove to be too hard to avoid if he is indeed available when it’s Seattle’s turn, be it in Round 1 or beyond.
