College Football Reporter Joe Schad took to Twitter today to release his Spring Preseason Top 25 as we head into April, and of course Spring Game season. Reigning College Football Playoff National Champion Alabama takes his top spot, with the runner-up Clemson coming in at third behind their ACC rival Florida State, who took the 2nd spot in Schad’s rankings.
LSU and Oklahoma round out the top five, followed by Ohio State at No. 6.
The biggest surprise? Miami, coming into Schad’s Top 25 at 13th after a rough 2015 campaign. Mark Richt is clearly making a huge difference early on in the eyes of the ESPN analyst.
The SEC lead the way with 6 teams in the top 25, 5 of which were in the top 15.
