The Baylor Bears will luckily not lose a big part of their offense for the 2016 season. Running back Devin Chafin was suspended indefinitely after he was arrested for marijuana possession after a traffic stop for speeding in March.
However, he will not be dismissed from the team after head coach Art Briles said he will be returning to the team for this season. However, as Craig Smoak reports, Chafin will serve a suspension to open the season.
Briles on Devin Chafin: "He'll be back next fall. He'll serve his suspension."

During the 2015 season, Devin Chafin rushed for 583 yards and nine touchdowns in ten games, adding to his career total of 1,261 yards and 21 touchdowns. He is expected to be a big piece for the Bears going into his final season of eligibility with the Bears.
If the Bears get both Chafin and quarterback Seth Russell back before the season gets going too much, they could be serious contenders in the Big 12.
The Bears open the 2016 season with Northwestern State on September 3.
