Brian Westbrook shouts out Villanova

Former Philadelphia Eagles running back Brian Westbrook is a proud Villanova Wildcats alum and took to Twitter last night not only to give his alma mater a proper shoutout after Villanova’s men’s basketball team won its Final Four matchup against Oklahoma, but to troll Eagles offensive lineman and former Sooner Lane Johnson.

Villanova is now in the championship game for the first time since 1985, when it won a title under Rollie Massimino, and will face the No. 1 North Carolina Tar Heels. He was a third-round pick out of the university by the Eagles in the 2002 NFL Draft and went on to make two Pro Bowls as an unbelievable threat out of the backfield.

And given how Villanova has plenty of reason to celebrate, you can bet your boots that Westbrook is going to be gloating about this for a while, even at the expense of a fellow Eagle like Lane Johnson.
