Oklahoma cheerleader posts touching thank you to Sooner basketball team

The Oklahoma Sooners’ basketball season might have ended unceremoniously Saturday after getting blown out by Villanova in their Final Four match up, but their run definitely had an impact.

OU cheerleader Candice Ryon best exemplified that by writing a touching tribute to the Oklahoma men’s hoops team on Twitter following tonight’s game. Ryon thanked the players and staff for all they did for her and the rest of the cheer squad.

Sooner athletics fans have had a lot to cheer about this collegiate sports year, with the football team getting into the College Football Playoff, and the hoops squad getting all the way to the Final Four this March Madness season. Not to mention a couple stars that have emerged on both the gridiron and the hardwood in Baker Mayfield and Buddy Hield.

Fear not Ms. Ryon, I’m sure you will still have plenty to cheer for next year too.
