Soccer player Christian Fuchs wants to be NFL kicker

Christian Fuchs currently plays for Leicester City, the club currently sitting atop the English Premier League table seven points clear of Tottenham. However, despite his success in soccer, Fuchs has been eyeing another form of success across the pond.

In a recent interview with Sky Sports, the Leicester City defender said he has had NFL ambitions and wants to give being a professional kicker a go.

“I have ambitions to become an NFL kicker,” Fuchs said. “Seriously. Depending on the managers in the NFL. If they want a footballer in their team but I am very much up for it. I know I can kick 60 yards or so or 65 yards field goal. Let’s see. Dreams can come true you know if you don’t dream you won’t reach anything.”

That would certainly be something to see.

And while we may not ever find out whether Fuchs could succeed on the gridiron, we have at least been given this gem:
