LSU DE Sione Teuhema may not ever return

LSU head coach Les Miles announced that defensive end Sione Teuhema had been suspended from the team on Saturday, but gave no indication on when he would return. In fact, it certainly seemed like Teuhema’s suspension may be a permanent one.

He is (on the team) but currently under suspension,” Miles told the New Orleans Times-Picayune. “I don’t know if that suspension will conclude ever. Go from there.”

Teuhema didn’t dress for the final four games of the Tigers’ season nor the cancelled season opener against McNeese State. He has missed several spring practices and was held out of Saturday’s scrimmage.

During the 2015 season, Sione Teuhema recorded 12 tackles two for loss, and one quarterback hurry. He also added on two sacks during his freshman season, but it is unclear if he will continue his career with the Tigers.
