Tate Martell to be joined by Kellen Mond at Ohio State spring game

Five-star quarterback and Texas A&M commit Tate Martell will be joined by Baylor commit and four-star quarterback Kellen Mond at Ohio State’s spring game on Saturday, according to ElevenWarriors.

Both dual-threat quarterbacks, Martell and Mond have been committed to their respective programs for months, so it’s interesting to see them attending another school’s spring game. Sure, their commitments to Texas A&M and Baylor are only verbal at this point, but it’s certainly an interesting development.

And it’s also worth noting that Ohio State is already pretty loaded at quarterback for the foreseeable future. Not only is J.T. Barrett set to be under center in 2016, but four-star talent Dwayne Haskins Jr. is also waiting in the wings along with Class of 2017 four-star recruit Danny Clark. Thus, for either Martell or Mond to flip their commitment to Ohio State for 2017 could make quarterback a crowded position in Columbus in the near future.

Just the same, Tate Martell and Kellen Mond are simply attending the spring game. Nothing more, nothing less. Be sure to stay tuned to Campus Sports for any further updates on this developing story!
