Florida State defensive back Jalen Ramsey is still the top player on the Dallas Cowboys’ draft board, according to Draft Insider.
This isn’t much of a surprise, as Ramsey has been a favored target of the Cowboys throughout most of the draft process. Cornerback is a major position of need in Dallas, and the fact that Ramsey can also play safety only makes him more attractive a draft prospect.
And now that the first two picks of the NFL Draft later this month are sure to be quarterbacks, what with the Los Angeles Rams trading for the No. 1 pick, Ramsey could easily fall to Dallas at No. 4 since the San Diego Chargers would be wise to shore up their offensive line in drafting Ole Miss tackle Laremy Tunsil at No. 3. Sure, Jerry Jones could change his mind and opt to draft pass-rush in picking Ohio State’s Joey Bosa, but Ramsey’s ceiling is just too high for Dallas to pass up on him.
