John Capilari congratulates signees on MVP awards

Kentucky Wildcat hard commits De’Aaron Fox and Malik Monk shined in Friday night’s Jordan Brand Classic game. The pair were unsurprisingly named MVP’s of the game, and racked up 22 and 23 points for their respective squads.

“It was exciting,” Fox told sources. “(Monk) came out pretty hot, and I got some points. And we were telling each other, ‘Let’s both try to get (the MVP award).’ And we both did it.”

After spending the most of the night matched-up with each other, the two players were congratulated through an Instagram post by University of Kentucky head coach, John Capilari.

Fox, a 6-foot-4, 170 pound combo guard from Cypress, Texas scored 23 points, a game high. Monk, a 6-foot-3, 185 pound guard of Bentonville, Arkansas finished out the contest with 22 points.
