True freshman and five-star quarterback Jacob Eason is ready to show off what he can do this season and he already seems to be in line to possibly win the starting job for the Georgia Bulldogs. He had a great showing at the team’s spring game on Saturday and he is garnering attention from many members of the media.
SEC Network’s Booger McFarland had the biggest bit of praise to offer the quarterback after his performance in the game on Saturday. He took to Twitter and called Eason “the best passer in the SEC,” which is not to say that he is the best quarterback in the conference.
In the game, Eason outshined incumbent starter Greyson Lambert and Brice Ramsey as he went 19-24 and threw for 244 yards and a touchdown. The young quarterback did this in front of a raucous Sanford Stadium of 93,000, an SEC spring game record.
Jacob Eason was one of the top recruits to sign with the Bulldogs, but McFarland might just be jumping the gun a bit. However, with how the quarterback play ended up for Georgia last season, it is certainly a refreshing sight to behold.
