Outcry regarding the NCAA’s decision to ban satellite camps have not fallen on deaf ears. The NCAA’s Board of Governors meet next week and NCAA official, Oliver Luck, predicts that the Board will revisit their decision.
Luck speculates that the NCAA will not, however, change their decision and will instead, confirm the ban. Luck defended the original decision. Luck is the former Athletic Director of the West Virginia Mountaineers.
The NCAA ban was effective immediately, but an official decision has yet to be made.
Coaches around the NCAA, Jim Harbaugh, in particular, heavily disagreed with the decision. Harbaugh recently stated that they have a plan of action in the works, though details were unspecified.
“We’re going to continue to put more thought into it and have a course of action. But (I’m) proud that he’s taken the lead on that topic. We believe here it’s beneficial. … There’s always an urgency, in my mind, to help kids and our program and in this case the sport of football,” said Harbaugh about Michigan Athletic Director Warde Manuel.
