On Saturday night, Georgia cornerback, Juwuan Briscoe was arrested on two traffic-related charges according to reports from Macon.com.
The sophomore cornerback was cited on two charges: not having a license and not wearing a seatbelt. He was arressted by UGA police and later released on bail for $1,000.
It is unknown if Briscoe will be reprimanded by the team and the Bulldogs have yet to comment on the situation.
This is a remarkable situation because Briscoe is the fifth Bulldog to be arrested since the hiring of new head coach, Kirby Smart.
“Defensive lineman Chauncey Rivers (possession of marijuana) was arrested in December and defensive lineman Jonathan Ledbetter (underage possession of alcohol) was arrested in March. Freshmen Julian Rochester and Chad Clay were arrested earlier in April on felony possession of a weapon, a BB gun, in a school and criminal damage to property,” according to the report from Macon.
The Bulldogs will face North Carolina at home on September 3rd to open their 2016 season.
