This is an interesting development, as any and all previous efforts to trade Kaepernick to teams like the Cleveland Browns and Denver Broncos proved fruitless due to the quarterback being unwilling to restructure his contract. Despite that, Colin Kaepernick has made it loud and clear that he wants to play elsewhere and not under new Niners coach Chip Kelly.
But the NFL Draft is tomorrow and deals could soon be going down, and that isn’t exclusive to a potential Kaepernick trade. That said, depending on if other teams have ramped up efforts to land Kaepernick or if the 49ers have lowered their asking price, the next few days could turn out to be quite interesting.
