Ed McCaffrey is probably best known for the nine seasons he spent playing for the Denver Broncos, so it’s no wonder that he took to Twitter and said the following when his son, former Duke Blue Devils receiver Max McCaffrey, signed with the Oakland Raiders as an undrafted free agent.
When your son becomes a Raider……

All joking aside, however, McCaffrey was genuinely proud of his son and also tweeted this first.
So proud of @notoriousmax25 – heading to the @NFL to join the Oakland @RAIDERS . Great moment when you see your son's dreams come true.

Max McCaffrey left Duke with 117 career receptions for 1,341 yards and 12 touchdowns, and should have a shot at cracking Oakland’s roster, maybe as the No. 3 or No. 4 receiver behind starters Michael Crabtree and Amari Cooper. That’d be a great accomplishment on his end, but also one that means his dad would probably have to switch allegiances once and for all. I mean, family comes first, right?
