UFC champ Stipe Miocic has message for Cavaliers

On Saturday night, Stipe Miocic knocked out Fabricio Werdum in the first-round to claim the UFC heavyweight title in front of a wild crowd of 50,000 at Arena da Baixada in Curitiba, Parana, Brazil.

After his win, Miocic, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, delivered a message for his hometown NBA team.

Miocic’s win ended a 52 year championship drought for Cleveland sports, and he is hoping that win creates a chain of events that continues bringing big wins to the city.

Miocic’s message to the Cavaliers was very simple.

“Let’s go Cavs, baby. I started it, let’s keep this fire going, baby. One championship down, got another one coming here,” Miocic said. “Let’s go, come on!  We’ve got this. Let’s go Cavs!”

If Miocic’s win ended the Cleveland curse, the Cavs could be in for a storybook finish to the season.

And if the Cavs do win, let’s hope they invite Stipe Miocic to celebrate alongside with them.
