In mid-February, wide receiver Trey Quinn announced he would be transferring from the LSU Tigers football program. Three months later, it appears as though he has found a new home.
Quinn confirmed to the New Orleans Times-Picayune that he will be continuing his football career in Dallas with the SMU Mustangs.
A former four-star recruit, Quinn was rated as a top ten wide receiver in the nation and as the No. 8 overall player in the state of Louisiana. He now has an opportunity to live up to those expectations with the Mustangs.
Of course, NCAA transfer rules require Trey Quinn to sit out for the 2016 college football season before returning to the field in 2017.
Once Quinn suits up for the Mustangs, he will have two years of eligibility remaining.
