Art Briles deletes Twitter account after being fired

Thursday morning, Baylor head football coach Art Briles was fired by the school. There have been numerous stories and rumors about cases of sexual assault on the Baylor campus, but no action has been taken until now.

In a show of cowardice, Briles has gone into social media hiding.

The former coach deleted his Twitter account to avoid the backlash of his actions.

ESPN’s Max Olson took to Twitter with a screenshot that confirmed this:

For years, Briles and other university officials have allowed sexual assault to run rampant on the campus at the hands of his very own football players. With this much needed move by Baylor, the victims have finally gotten a sense of justice, though the lasting impact of the horrendous crimes they had to endured will remain for a lifetime.

Briles knows that he will not be received well by the public, which is exactly why he removed his social media presence. But, he can only hide from the consequences of his actions for so long.
