Heisman Trophy 2016: Top five candidates from the Big Ten

The Big Ten isn’t home to any of the 2016 Heisman Trophy favorites, but there are still a few players that could make a push for it at some point during the season as teams make a push for the College Football Playoff.

One Ohio State quarterback doesn’t have to look over his shoulder for fear of losing the starting job, while two defensive backs seem poised to compete for the Jim Thorpe Award.

There is also a pair of running backs looking to make a name for themselves this year.
