Tennessee’s Butch Jones praises Georgia Bulldogs

The Tennessee Volunteers are favored to win the SEC East this season, but head coach Butch Jones realizes it may not be easy to live up to those expectations; especially with some of the other talent in the division.

Jones’ most direct competition seems to come from the rival Georgia Bulldogs, who will be taking the field under the direction of new head coach Kirby Smart.

During SEC meetings in Destin, Florida, Jones took the time to praise his division rivals, saying they could go on to win the entire conference.

“I think Georgia is one of the best teams in our conference and not just on the East side,” said Jones at the SEC Meetings, via Scout.com. “When you look at the competition on our side, it’s going to be a challenge.”

Last season in Knoxville, the Volunteers topped the Bulldogs, 38-31.

We will see whether the Vols are ready for the tough challenge this season in Athens on October 1.
