Nate Diaz vs. Conor McGregor rematch set for UFC 202

Conor McGregor is finally set to make his return to the Octagon, in the rematch against Nate Diaz the world has been waiting for. On Saturday night during the UFC 199 broadcast, the promotion announced the rematch will officially take place at UFC 202 on August 20.

The rematch was initially set for UFC 200, but Conor McGregor’s refusal to do press obligations and a public contract dispute led to UFC president Dana White pulling the featherweight champion from the card.

But ultimately, both men wanted the bout and all parties were able to reach a mutual agreement.

In their first meeting earlier this year, Diaz was able to pull off the upset to hand McGregor the first loss of his UFC career. Now, McGregor will be looking to settle the score.

Further information on the event and upcoming bouts should be released in the coming weeks.
