Simmons was reportedly deciding between signing a sneaker deal with Nike or adidas.
Ultimately, he went with the Swoosh.
According to the reports, Simmons signed a five-year endorsement deal with the company worth $7.5 million. However, there were actually less incentives in the Nike deal. The adidas deal reportedly was worth $10 million overall, with a $2 million signing bonus and on-court incentives.
The 2016 NBA Draft will be held on June 23, when Simmons will learn whether he begins his professional career with either the Philadelphia 76ers or Los Angeles Lakers.
