Former Georgia Bulldogs great Hines Ward has made it very clear he wants a job with his alma mater. He doesn’t have a job with the team just yet, but he has already endorsed true freshman Jacob Eason as the team’s starter.
Ward was in Statesboro at a satellite camp the Bulldogs were holding with the Georgia Southern Eagles on Thursday. He spoke about the Bulldogs’ quarterback battle, which is expected to last through the month of August, and said that he would put Eason at the top of the depth chart.

During the spring, Greyson Lambert and Brice Ramsey shared most of the first-team reps so Jacob Eason seems to be at the bottom of the totem pole. However, the five-star freshman still has a very good chance at moving up the list before the start of the 2016 season.
The Bulldogs open the year against the North Carolina Tar Heels on Sept. 3 at the Georgia Dome.
