Peyton Manning makes visit to Alma Mater, speaks with Vols

The Tennessee Volunteers football team is hoping to win it all in the upcoming 2016 season. In order to help achieve this goal. they brought in the greatest former Volunteer of all time – perhaps even the best to ever play the game – Peyton Manning.

Manning was in Knoxville as promised on Monday afternoon and spent time with some current Volunteers. Clearly, the recently retired quarterback’s presence was well-received.

In the bottom right photo, we can see freshman quarterback Jarrett Guarantano perhaps talking football with Manning. You’ve got some big shoes to fill, Guarantano.

Per the Rocky Top Insider, Peyton Manning had praise for Butch Jones – who he’s always been a fan of – and said that he feels the Vols have stability under him. He also announced that he’ll be present at the Battle of Bristol, Alabama game, and College Station to watch the Vols this season.
