Oklahoma CB Jordan Thomas arrested on two charges

The Oklahoma Sooners are trying to get back to the Big 12 championship and possibly the College Football Playoff this year.

However, their defense may be taking a blow over the next few weeks after cornerback Jordan Thomas was arrested for the second time in eight months Thursday morning.

According to the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office, Thomas was arrested for public intoxication and assault & battery. He was released Thursday afternoon, but his ordeal with the law certainly isn’t over just yet.

This is his second arrest in the last eight months after he was arrested in December for failure to appear in court. It will be intriguing to see how head coach Bob Stoops handles this situation.

Last year, Jordan Thomas recorded five interceptions and 46 tackles for the Sooners. He was named to the All-Big 12 First Team by ESPN and the All-Big 12 Second Team by the Associated Press and Phil Steele.
