USC’s Adoree’ Jackson to give Olympic qualifying another shot

USC Trojans football star Adoree’ Jackson has been chasing his dream of participating in the 2016 Rio Olympics as a member of the United States track team.

Jackson previously failed to earn an automatic qualification for the trials in the long jump at the NCAA Championships earlier this month, but he will give his dream another shot this weekend at the U.S. Olympic Trials.

The U.S. Olympic Trials will be held in Eugene, Oregon.

Jackson, a rising junior, is one of the most impressive athletes in college football. With his success as a two-way player and also on special teams, plenty of NFL scouts have been paying attention to his talents on the field.

If he were to qualify for the Olympic track and field team, it would only boost his draft stock.

Along with Jackson, fellow college football players Tim White of Arizona State and Devon Allen of Oregon will also be competing in the Olympic Trials.

If any of the players earn a spot on Team USA, they will be forced to miss some of their program’s final stages of preparation for the upcoming year as track and field events at the Olympics will be held Aug. 12-21.
