As watch list season kicks into full swing, the preseason watch list for the 2016 Ray Gay Award — given out annually to the nation’s most outstanding punter — has been announced.
This year’s list is headlined by two returning finalists — Michael Carrizosa of San Jose State and Hayden Hunt of Colorado State — along with a handful of semifinalists from a year ago: Cameron Johnston (Ohio State), Johnny Townsend (Florida), Austin Seibert (Oklahoma) and Nick Porebski (Oregon State).
