Lane Kiffin is the gift that keeps on giving.
On Monday, the Alabama offensive coordinator who is never one to hold his tongue, took to social media to take a shot at his former team, the Tennessee Volunteers.
Kiffin trolled the Vols by sharing a link to a Gridiron Now story detailing the recent recruiting struggles for Butch Jones’ program. The story discusses the Vols inability to keep top talents in state.
Typical Lane Kiffin.
Immediately, Kiffin began receiving backlash from Vols fans.
Kiffin coached Tennessee in 2009 before leaving to take over the USC Trojans after just one season on the job. Vols fans were understandably upset and they still hold ill-will towards the coach. That only amplifies when Kiffin can’t help but to deliver a nice troll job on social media.
It also doesn’t help that Kiffin is having success with the rival Crimson Tide, but the Vols can get the last laugh by knocking off Nick Saban and Kiffin’s team at Neyland Stadium on Oct. 15.
