4-star WR Osiris St. Brown commits to Stanford

Osiris St. Brown, a 6-foot-2, 180-pound WR from Anaheim, California has committed to Stanford University and its Cardinals football team.St. Brown did not follow in the footsteps of his older brother, Equanimeous, who’s currently a receiver for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

In his tweet in which he broke the news of his commitment, St. Brown thanked all the other coaches and programs that recruited him:

Ranked as a top-20 player from the state of California, St. Brown captioned his tweet with the words “40 year decision”, the implication being that the Stanford commit isn’t only concerned with the football program, but also with what the university can provide for him in his life after football.

It’s always nice to see players as young as St. Brown contemplating their options, taking into account the fact that they won’t be playing football forever.

St. Brown will be looking to keep the momentum going with a David Shaw-led Cardinals squad that went a stunning 12-2 last season, finishing with a No.3 ranking in the AP Poll, their highest such ranking in 75 years.
