Mackenzie Dern’s return to mixed martial arts officially has a date.
On Wednesday, the promising women’s MMA prospect took to social media to announce she will be returning to the cage for Legacy Fighting Championships on Oct. 14 in Dallas.
“It’s set! My next MMA fight will be Oct. 14th in Dallas one more time for [Legacy Fighting],” Dern wrote on It’s set! My next MMA fight will be Oct. 14th in Dallas, TX one more time for @legacyfighting! For who is in the area tickets will be going for sale soon! It will also be on @axstvfights !! No opponent has been named for Dern’s return to MMA action.
Last month, Dern scored a victory over Kenia Rosas in her MMA debut. The multiple-time world jiu jitsu champion has plenty of hype behind her as she looks to follow up that impressive debut with another strong performance.
If Dern can live up to those expectations, we could very well see the next star in women’s MMA being born before our very eyes.
