LSU RB Leonard Fournette draws comparison to Adrian Peterson

The LSU Tigers have a pretty special player in running back Leonard Fournette and he has a chance to be one of the first players taken in the 2017 NFL Draft. It looks like he is drawing some pretty big praise from NFL analysts.

Multiple analysts gave their opinions on Fournette with Charles Davis giving him a comparison to Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson. This is a pretty big comparison for the junior Tiger.

“I’ve said for the last two seasons that the ‘Running Back Renaissance’ was coming … and, it’s here. Leonard Fournette is the best pure runner that I’ve seen in CFB since Adrian Peterson.”

Peterson is one of the best backs in the NFL today, so that should certainly be a great honor for Fournette. It is certainly deserved after he has had a huge career with the Tigers in the last two seasons.

In 2015, he rushed for a school record 1,953 yards and 22 touchdowns. Fans will get to see just how good he is when the Tigers take the field against Wisconsin on Sept. 3.
