On Saturday, the Maryland football program received a boost to the 2017 recruiting class when four-star guard Marcus Minor announced his commitment to the local team.
The DeMatha Catholic product announced the news on SportsNet Central on CSN.
Minor chose the Terrapins over offers from programs like Auburn,Boston College, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Tennessee, Virginia, and Virginia Tech.

Entering his senior season of high school, Minor is rated as the No. 17 guard in the nation and the No. 5-ranked player in the state of Maryland.
While Minor is ready for his final year at DeMatha Catholic, Maryland is preparing to kickoff its 2016 campaign this Saturday, Sept. 3 in College Station when they welcome Howard.
