Led by star quarterback Tate Martell, Bishop Gorman (Nevada) took center stage on ESPN2 this weekend for a nationally televised meeting with Cedar Hill (Texas).
When the final whistle blew, it was the No. 3 ranked Las Vegas high school that earned a dominating 44-14 win for their 40th straight victory.
Martell had an impressive performance on the night, but the one moment that really stuck out was when the four-star signal-caller gave a shout out to the Ohio State Buckeyes, who currently hold a verbal commitment from the quarterback.
After finding the endzone for one of his multiple scores, Martell threw up the “O-H-I-O” sign as a nod to the Buckeyes program.

Martell finished the game with 135 passing yards, 147 rushing yards and two touchdowns. It’s easy to see why he is rated as the No. 2 dual-threat quarterback in the nation.
Congrats to Bishop Gorman and Martell on the big win. It’s going to be a season watching the boys from Las Vegas.
