Ohio State football to wear alternates vs. Oklahoma Saturday

The Ohio State football program took to social media on Tuesday to reveal some new alternate uniforms that will be worn this weekend when the Buckeyes travel to Norman for a meting with the No. 14 Oklahoma Sooners at Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.

Check them out:

Buckeyes fans haven’t seen these beauties since November 28, 2015, when Ohio State, behind the power of J.T. Barrett and Ezekiel Elliott, crushed Michigan by the score of 42-13.

According to an Ohio State uniform database, the Buckeyes are undefeated, 3-0, while having worn these uniforms. The three wins came at Virginia Tech, at Michigan and against Alabama for a critical New Year’s Day win in the 2015 College Football Playoff Semifinal.

In general, third-ranked Ohio State is 15-3 wearing alternate uniforms, something that bodes well for them as they prepare to take on 14th-ranked Oklahoma.

Oklahoma is coming off a drubbing of Louisiana-Monroe after they dropped their season opener to the Houston Cougars 33-23. Kick off against Oklahoma is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on FOX.
