Wisconsin’s Corey Clement ready to play vs Georgia State

When the No. 9 Wisconsin Badgers take the field in Week 3 against Georgia State, they are expecting to have senior running back Corey Clement healthy and ready to go in the backfield.

Clement was dealing with an ankle injury against Akron last weekend, but head coach Paul Chryst believes his back is ready to go.

This is good news for the Wisconsin back, who has consistently dealt with injuries throughout his collegiate career.

Because of being slowed by injuries, Clement managed just 48 carries for 221 yards and five touchdowns in 2015. Through two weeks this season, Clement is already nearing those totals from a year ago.

Clement enters Week 3 with 42 carries for 197 yards and three scores on the year.

Against Georgia State, Clement will once again look to be the workhorse back the Badgers need as they attempt to move to 3-0 on the season.
