FWAA-NFF Super 16 Poll, Week 3: Louisville surges to top 3

Following Week 3 of college football season, the Football Writers Association of America and the National Football Foundation unveiled the updated FWAA-NFF Super 16 poll.

After a comeback win to defeat Ole Miss on Saturday, the Alabama Crimson Tide held on to the No. 1 spot as the near unanimous pick with 41 of 45 first-place votes. The only other team to earn first-place votes following Week 3 was the Louisville Cardinals, who earned four votes after their drubbing of Florida State, which ell from No. 2 to No. 13.

Texas and Oklahoma lost to Cal and Ohio State, respectively, and both dropped out of the poll, leaving the Big 12 with no teams in the top 16.
