Ronda Rousey returning? Ex-champ in talks to fight at UFC 207

Is former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey finally nearing a return to the Octagon?

According to a report from Damon Martin of FOXSports, Rousey is currently in negotiations with the UFC to return at UFC 207 in Las Vegas on Dec. 30. Rousey’s opponent for her return bout? What everyone expected: current UFC women’s bantamweight title holder Amanda Nunes.

Rousey has not fought since losing the title to Holly Holm last November.

Since Rousey lost the title, it has changed hands another two times. Holm lost the belt to Miesha Tate earlier this year, before Tate was defeated by Nunes at UFC 200 in July.

If Rousey does in fact return to the Octagon at UFC 207 in December, it will line up with what UFC president Dana White has previously said.

“Yes, there is a great chance that Ronda will fight Amanda Nunes, and I am very confident Ronda will fight before the end of the year,” White said earlier this month.

Now, it’s just a waiting game.
