Report: LSU fires head coach Les Miles, OC Cam Cameron

After a last-second loss to the Auburn Tigers on Saturday, the LSU Tigers have reportedly fired head coach Les Miles. Ross Dellenger of The Advocate passed along the news of Miles’ firing.

Not only did Miles get the boot in Baton Rouge, the team also parted ways with offensive coordinator Cam Cameron.

With Miles on the outs according to The Advocate, LSU will offer the interim head coaching gig to defensive line coach Ed Orgeron. We should learn more about the coaching staff shuffle following a team meeting on Sunday evening.

The LSU Tigers opened the season as the No. 5 team in the AP preseason poll. They have struggled offensively this year and opened the season with a 16-14 loss to Wisconsin. The loss to Auburn dropped LSU to 2-2 on the year.

Miles spent 11 seasons with the Tigers from 2005-2015 and racked up an overall record of 114-34. The team has not recorded ten wins in a season since 2014.

LSU looks to bounce back against the Missouri Tigers on Saturday, Oct. 1.
