Video: Tennessee fans burn couches celebrating Florida win

The Tennessee Volunteers defeated the Florida Gators for the first time in 12 years Saturday and nothing matches the smell of victory quite like the smell of burning fabric.

Tennessee fans took to the streets of Knoxville following their team’s victory and did what naturally comes to mind for everyone in times of celebration, they burned couches en masse.

It’s not just thatĀ Tennessee won the game.

The excitement to a large degree also lies inĀ how they won it.

The Vols were down 21-3 at the half to a team they hadn’t beaten since 2004, only to come back and win by the scoreline of 38-28.

Another part of the joy must be stemming from the fact that Tennessee hasn’t been undefeated (4-0) since 2003, when Casey Clausen led the Volunteers to a 10-3 record and the Peach Bowl, where they ultimately fell 27-14 to Clemson.

The No.11-ranked Volunteers will take on the No. 25-ranked Georgia Bulldogs at the Georgia Dome Saturday.
