Video: Mike Pereira explains wild LSU-Auburn ending

Often during football games played on FOX, officiating expert Mike Pereira is asked to explain odd penalty situations and replay reviews to give more insight. The LSU-Auburn game certainly needed some explaining and he was right there to do so.

LSU seemingly scored with no time left on the clock to win the game 19-18.

However, the clock was set to run on the official’s signal and it was ruled that the final second ticked off before Danny Etling got the snap off, giving Auburn the 18-13 victory.

It was a simple explanation as the center did not move the ball to Etling before the clock hit triple zeroes.

The LSU Tigers will be kicking themselves for getting into this situation in the first place, but the reality is that Auburn won a wild game and LSU is out of the College Football Playoff picture.

The Cardiac Cats moniker certainly fits both the Auburn Tigers and LSU Tigers.
