With one month of the 2016 college football season in the books, Louisville Cardinals star quarterback Lamar Jackson has already proven to be one of the top contenders for the Heisman Trophy.
Jackson has torched opposing defenses week in and week out, with dominant performance over the previously No. 3 ranked Florida State Seminoles already under his belt. This weekend, Jackson leads Louisville onto the field against the No. 5 Clemson Tigers, so he will once again have the chance to build his Heisman resume.
That begs the question: If Jackson is able to lead the Cardinals to another impressive win over a top-ranked team, will he have locked up the Heisman Trophy after just five weeks?
Well, if you ask Shannon Sharpe on FOX Sports 1’s new debate show “Undisputed,” the answer is a resounding yes.
Through September, Jackson has thrown for 1,330 yards, 13 touchdowns and only three interceptions. If that wasn’t impressive enough, Jackson has added another 526 yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground.
Can Clemson slow him down or will they just be added to Jackson’s 2016 highlight reel?
Kickoff for the top-five matchup is set for 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
