Report: Baylor’s KD Cannon out vs. Iowa State with groin injury

The Baylor Bears could be without a dynamic threat Saturday. According to reports, wide receiver KD Cannon will reportedly miss this weekend’s Big 12 clash with the Iowa State Cyclones due to a groin injury.

During last week’s win over Oklahoma State, Cannon was forced to exit with what interim head coach Jim Grobe described as a pulled groin.

The issue has apparently lingered throughout the week and the speedy pass catcher will not be at 100 percent in time for kickoff.

The absence of Cannon on the outside will be a blow for the Baylor offense, but the 4-0 team should still be able to roll over an inferior Iowa State squad.

Through the first month of the season, Cannon has recorded 27 receptions for 370 yards and four touchdowns.

The No. 13 Bears and Cyclones are scheduled for kickoff at noon ET at Jack Trice Stadium.
