Tennessee’s Jalen Reeves-Maybin to miss Texas A&M game

The Tennessee Volunteers will be without star linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin for a second straight week.

On Wednesday, Vols head coach Butch Jones announced Reeves-Maybin will miss Saturday’s game against No. 8 Texas A&M as he continues to recover from a nagging shoulder injury.

According to Jones, the team is exploring “short-term” and “long-term” options for treatment.

When healthy this season, Reeves-Maybin has recorded 20 tackles.

The No. 9 Vols and No. 8 Aggies are scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff at Kyle Field on CBS. Prior to the game, College Station will be playing host to the set of ESPN’s College GameDay.

Both teams will be looking to keep their perfect records intact while advancing to 6-0 with the SEC Championship and College Football Playoff in their sights.
