Five-star running back Najee Harris is the No. 1 recruit in the Class of 2017 and currently committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide, but the highly-touted player is not yet ready to fully commit to a program.
Harris discussed his recruitment with USA Today when he revealed he is “not 100 percent set on Alabama” and that he plans on taking all five official visits.
“I’m going to take my five visits, but I just don’t know where,” Harris said.
“Let’s say this: My mind isn’t set on Alabama. I’m not 100 percent set on Alabama. I’m trying to see what else is out there for me. I’m using my visits to see. As much attention as I’ve gotten, I feel like I have helped my teammates get some offers, too.”
Alabama currently holds the No. 2 recruiting class in 2017, behind the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Along with Alabama, Harris holds offers from a number of the top programs in the nation and Big Ten powerhouses Ohio State and Michigan. In SEC territory, the Crimson Tide have competition from the Georgia Bulldogs.
In his senior year at Antioch High School in Calif., Harris has recorded 1,074 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Wherever he lands, the program is getting an insanely talented player.
