Mark Richt is still showing love to Georgia football

Mark Richt was let go by the Georgia football program after 15 seasons in 2015. It didn’t take long for Richt to land on his feet, however, as he returned to his alma mater to lead the Miami Hurricanes.

But while Richt could be bitter because of the abrupt ending to his time in Athens, it is clear that he still has love for the ‘Dawgs.

When speaking to Andrea Adelson of ESPN, Richt made sure to remind Adelson that “The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party” — or that corny “River City Showdown” — was the GEORGIA-Florida game and not the Florida-Georgia game.

Unfortunately for Richt, he will be busy leading Miami against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in South Bend on NBC at the same time the Bulldogs and Gators are facing off in Jacksonville on CBS.
